I was talking to a friend about this earlier today, and we had quite the discussion about what we'd get.
Personally this would be my choice:
911 Carrera 4S, with PASM, Carrera S Powerkit, Sport design package, Roof rack, glass sunroof, black wheels, and a bunch of other interior options
It would have to be Agate Grey on Agate grey with Mahogany interior pack.
Totals to about $190,000 but it's all that I ever need! It can seat 2, plus some stuff. It's fast enough to have a lot of fun in, yet safe enough that I won't die. It looks amazing, and the AWD means I can go ski, since I love doing that! plus, if I need to blast down to California for a day, it's good for a 140mph cruise down highway 97 due to the comfort setting on the suspension.
All around, a perfect car

Hmm
So you can have one car and only one car for life? You can't have even one cheap beater in addition?

Nissan GT-R (R35) either in NISMO trim or decked out in Mine's goodies.

Not as an only car! If I were to own an E34 I'd have a classic car on the side as well. If it was just one car, I want EVERYTHING

Crap. That is hard cause I want to have kids one day. And car seats and strollers take up SO much room. And I might want to have more than a couple kids.
I guess I'd have to go with the AMG version of the Mercedes GL. I prefer small cars. But if I could only have one car for life then the safest thing to do would be to get the biggest and fastest car out there.

The rules for this post are just ONE car

As soon as they come with the manual transmission and magnetic ride control, this is the one. And yes, I intentionally picked the color that will be ignored by cops. I don't want a sedan, but I bet it'd be easier to convince a wife that it makes sense to keep a sedan vs a coupe for the long haul. Honorable mention is a manual trans Vagon.
Added functionality of a wagon = awesome.

I might be crazy but I would pick a Range Rover. You can do everything with. Well, when it's not in the shop. And when it is, you get to drive something else.
I mean, you can go everywhere you want with it.

Sweet Lord almighty, that is well sorted. BTW I removed my ACE pump and all the ACE hydraulic lines from my D2 today. The only casualties are the skin on my forearms and hands and my plastic front bumper. Now to save so I can replace it with a simple Rovertym.
